Cases of children reported missing have become a worrying trend nowadays that the government has come out with an early warning system for missing children known as NUR (National Urgent Response) Alert. This initiative is started by the Royal Malaysian Polis aimed to ensure that every child aged 12 years and below receives protection from exploitation, violence and neglect.
Cellular service providers will be sending out a Short Messaging Service (SMS) to cellular users to obtain prior approval for the acceptance of missing child announcement that will be made through multimedia messaging service (MMS) which contains the image and identity of the child.
The NUR Alert will be disseminated with immediate effect to help law enforcement agencies in carrying out investigation and which will lead to fast arrests.
Follow these steps to receive NUR Alert:
You will obtain an SMS to opt-in to receive the NUR Alertannouncement

Reply "YES " if you choose to receive the NUR Alert
Congratulation! You are now part of the community on the fight to find missing children in the NUR Alert initiative. You will receive aMMS with NUR Alert which contains the image and identity of the missing child
No charge will be imposed by service providers for registration and acceptance of MMS-NUR Alert announcement.
